Title
Electric Telecommunication Cable
Description

An Electric Telecommunication Cable is a telecommunications cable that contains one or more conductors for transmitting signals from one place to another. There is no clear distinction between an electric wire and an electric cable. Usually the former refers to a single, solid metallic conductor, with or without insulation, while the latter refers to a stranded conductor or to an assembly of insulated conductors. Protective coverings for electric communication cables are similar to those for electric power cables. They usually consist of an aluminum or lead-alloy tube or of a combination of metallic strips and thermoplastic materials.
