- Analyze Test Results
The ‘Analyze Test Results ‘ process compares the measured outcomes (collected test data) from testing with the expected outcomes from test planning, tempered with technical and operational judgment. This is where data are synthesized into actionable information. When the measured outcomes differ from the expected outcomes, the test conditions and procedures must be reexamined to determine whether the performance deviations are real or were the result of test conditions, such as lack of fidelity in computer simulation, insufficient or incorrect test support assets, instrumentation error, or faulty test processes. The assumptions of tactics, operational environment, systems performance parameters, and logistics support must have been carefully chosen, fully described, and documented prior to test. Modelling and Simulation (M&S) may normally be used during the data analysis to extend the evaluation of performance effectiveness and suitability.
