NHDRWF PHY Layer functionalities The PHY SSS defines six classes of functions

• PHY-TIME Timing functionalities, related e.g. to dwell sequencing, synchronization
• PHY-TRANSEC TRANSEC functionalities, related to signal protection
• PHY-MODEM Modem functionalities, related e.g. to coding, bit mapping, filtering, etc.
• PHY-FORWARDING Forwarding functionalities, related to cooperative forwarding
• PHY-XCVR Transceiver functionalities
• PHY-MGT Management functionalities, related to the interface with the MGT plane (logs, configurations, etc.)
